Team Spotlight: Introducing Alex
Every week we ask a team member to let us known who they are. Here's Alex:
What wearable do you use?
Xiaomi Mi Band 6.
What do you use it for?
Tracking everything, it was the best in terms of the number of things it tracks versus the costs. I use it for tracking activities, seeing my steps.
What sort of activities?
Any gym workout - calisthenics or weights, dancing as well. And yoga
What sort of dancing do you do?
I mainly focus on streetdance, specifically popping and breaking. [Check it out here]
Where are you from?
Greece.
How many languages do you speak?
Four fluently, learning two.
Can you name them?
Python, ummm...
No. We're not talking about coding languages...
French, English, Greek, Spanish. And I'm also learning Japanese and Chinese.
How did you find the time to learn all of them?!
I was lucky enough to be in a multicultural environment as a kid, and I found it fun to be able to communicate with different people and build more rapport with people from different backgrounds.
Have you travelled a lot then as well?
Yeah, I've travelled a decent amount.
Do you have any favourite countries or locations?
Probably, Japan.
Why?
The cultural difference compared to Western countries, but even among East Asian countries. I'm not a big fan of anime or anything but I find it interesting overall - the people, the way of life and mindset.
Do you have any interesting memories from Japan?
I jumped into the sea in freezing cold temperatures in January with a harpoon in my hand with no wetsuit, just boxers. Thinking that I could catch some fish. And I ended up getting hypothermia and spent a good half an hour violently shivering...

How much of a priority is Terra to you?
Enough of a priority to make my girlfriend wait for 3 hours in the lobby of our building whilst debugging a major flaw before we started dating.
Is your girlfriend still with you today?
Surprisingly, yes.
What's your favourite protein flavour?
Recently, yoghourt flavoured protein by MyProtein - it tastes just like Yacult
How many different flavours of protein have you tried?
Too many to count, I'm working on a secret protein endpoint for Terra. Stay tuned for more..!
